Consider the value of the hotel

Offering the most sustainable design proposals for your hotel from Japanese architects

“A New Challenge for Your Hotel”

Proposing a new space loved by guests

I can offer suggestions for hotels with a sustainability concept. Having worked in space design in Japan for many years, I specialize in designs utilizing natural materials and craftsmanship. The cycle of creation through handwork is one of the most environmentally considerate practices.

Architecture Design Studio Morizo- will assist in creating a truly sustainable hotel design by integrating minimalism and the techniques of craftsmanship.

Sustainable Hotels

What is the optimal renewal cycle for a hotel?

The concept of a sustainable hotel remains unchanged. However, its expression is always updated. Just planting trees is not enough for a forest to grow. I design sustainable hotels with a long-term perspective.

What Morizo- Architectural Design Studio Can Offer Your Hotel

  1. Hotel branding planning
  2. Master plan for hotel design
  3. Detailed design and construction support

We will explain the scope of work and fees according to your preferences.

Providing Enjoyable Experiences to Guests

For example, setting up a modular washitsu in the reception area or offering small event planning options.

Excessive gimmicks are not necessary. Guests seek relaxation during their vacation. A hotel providing even a small change or discovery is sufficient.

Small Experiences Leave Lasting Impressions

Offering simple, memorable experiences is possible. Crafting wooden items as part of the sustainable hotel concept can effectively convey the idea.

Enhancing Hotel Value

I have many concrete ideas. Using the networks in Germany and Japan held by Architecture Design Studio Morizo-, we can offer various proposals for your hotel.

Please share your requests and ideas with us. Let’s create and realize them together.

Background of the Proposal

After staying in Germany for two years in 2018, I continue to travel between Japan and Germany. I was impressed by the European culture of valuing long-term use of architecture. It also reminded me of Japan’s long-standing respect for nature and sustainable spirit. The approach to craftsmanship in both cultures is highly compatible.

Moreover, Germany’s awareness of environmental considerations and its culture of leisurely vacations in natural settings have been inspiring. There are many hotels that bring guests close to nature. I wanted to propose even more sustainable, authentic minimalist designs for such accommodations.

A concept hotel blending Germany and Japan can satisfy highly conscious European customers. I have many ideas for a simple and beautiful concept hotel. Our collaboration with the UTSUWA Project concept will likely create significant synergistic effects.

I am confident in this and present the proposal for your hotel here.

The Utsuwa Project

The Utsuwa Project is an international network of members focused on traditional Japanese craftsmanship, architecture, materials, and tools. Our shared goal is to promote increasingly rare craft techniques and natural materials, creating a new market for artisanal construction.

Founded in 2015, the project has developed a modular Japanese model space in several iterations, from “Utsuwa 1.0” to “Utsuwa 3.0,” through close collaboration among its members from Japan and Germany. The model is easily transportable, adaptable, and repairable, making it highly versatile and an excellent demonstration of traditional craftsmanship.
